In spanish, Mal de Ojo is a folk illness primarily affecting children, with infants being particularly vulnerable. This supernaturual belief holds that an admiring look or a stare can weaken the child, leading to bad luck, sickness and even death. Crazy!
Not to worry! Cause in many cultures, to protect yourself against receiving el Mal de Ojo (wether intentionally or unintentionally), one can wear an "amulet" such as this pendant. Made with a lovely 20 inch stainless steel chain, and a simple brass and cubic zirconia eye pendant, this necklace is a perfect layering piece. All hardware is 100% brass.
On first model from top to bottom: Sunny earrings, horus necklace, billie necklace, mal de ojo and the evil eye.
Second Model: Prickly Pear, Lucille, Mal de Ojo + Sun God
