In spanish, Mal de Ojo is a folk illness primarily affecting children, with infants being particularly vulnerable. This supernaturual belief holds that an admiring look or a stare can weaken the child, leading to bad luck, sickness and even death. Crazy!

Made with a lovely 20 inch stainless steel chain, and a simple brass and cubic zirconia eye pendant, this necklace is a perfect layering piece. All hardware is 100% brass.
